Altered Mode - Tension Rises EP

Tension Rises EP

Coming soon for sale on Bandcamp and then available to stream and buy elsewhere

This EP is a homage to the places that often "bookended" a night out at the Arches in the 2000s. Where clubbers converged with artists and theatre fans before racing through the big steel doors once the club opened. Those who crossed the river after to the archways at the other side to continue dancing till sunrise or beyond.

Altered Mode DJ - Electronic, techno, house DJ & producer Glasgow, UK

Altered Mode is the darker sound of DJ and producer, Kirsty Munro. Altered Mode's sound is a combination of pulsating rhythms, dark moody bass lines and ethereal melodies that flow in and out of sets to create a mind bending journey through sound.

Kirsty is no stranger to the dance music scene and just after turning 21 she had secured a residency with the club night Death Disco at the world famous Arches nightclub in Glasgow. Kirsty remained there for two years playing to sell out crowds alongside acts like David Holmes, Glimmer Twins, Mylo, Blackstrobe, Tommie Sunshine, Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco, Freeform Five, Mark Moore, Tiefschwarz, Justus Kohncke and many more. However, prior to this Kirsty had built up a large collection of dark progressive house and minimal techno which she continued to build on as a side line whilst playing for clubs like Death Disco with a more electro and nu rave style.

Altered Mode was created as an outlet for Kirsty to play a more in depth style of music that focuses on the subtle changes within a track and being able to blend them all in a way that flows correctly throughout the sets.

Having gained a great deal of club experience over the last few years, Kirsty has turned to focusing her time on production with plans to release productions throughout the coming year. So far her remixes have gained support from the likes of Dave Spoon, Nic Fanciulli, and Groove Armada to name a few.
